“Huuhhhhhhh”

*drip drip* *trickle* *cheep cheep*

‘Uh?’

You were coming out of unconsciousness.

The wind blew softly into your hair.

The air smelled so crisp. It also was scented like perfume. Not the perfume that stores give out to customers but a natural perfume, the kind that only nature can produce.

You used your sense of touch to feel your body lying on the ground.

The surface beneath you was stable but soft.

‘I wonder where I am?’ you thought.

You felt so at peace, you opened your eyes, blinked twice, and were surprised to find where you were.

You looked around you to find pretty pink sakura trees all around you. Directly to your left was a bubbling brook, gently making its way past the polished rocks.

You then brushed something soft.

Looking down, your hand was right by a pink flower petal.

Slightly sitting up, you realized your body was literally lying on top of pink petals. The petals were all around you as if encircling you with their presence.

‘Well that explains the hard but soft surface…’

You continued to look around to find you were in a garden that centered around a Chinese theme.

“W-where am I?” you asked while you slowly stood up.

You were going to investigate were the heck you actually were when you tripped on a rock.

“Ah!” you yelled as your head made contact with the tree right by you.

Once your head made contact, your body slumped to the ground. Now in a sitting position, you shakily head your head in your hands. “O-ow” you mumbled.

Oh but of course that wasn’t the worse part.

From that hit, it triggered something within you. The little throbbing headache you now head turned into a migraine, and then it became something much much worse…

Something dark pulsed by you as you were holding your head. It made its way over to you and when you finally noticed it, you tried to get away. But it had some hold over you that you couldn’t fathom because it rendered you to move.

It then touched your head. You felt it ripped you apart from the inside; with it taking great pleasure from the torture. Then in a flash, your memories were torn from your brain.

“No stop!” Your hands, which were already beside your head, started shaking.

The figure finally retracted from your head and in response to you, it raised the hand with your memories as if to say, “They’re mine now” and disappeared.

Now that the ‘thing’ dissipated, you could finally move. You pressed your hands harder to your head and cried.

Through all that torment, what hurt you the most was not the pain, it was the memories you lost.

Now you felt empty.

~~~~~~~Timeskip Of Yao Slowly Taking Off His Cheongsam To Reveal His *ifyouknowit* ;)~~~~~~~
China was taking a pleasant stroll in his garden after he performed his Tai chi. He was enjoying the calming sounds of birds chirping and petals falling when he heard an agonized scream.
Rushing over to the source of the noise, he found you.
You had a tear-stained face and were shaking uncontrollably. Your body was contorted to the fetal position.
He had never seen such a person in pain before. No scratch that, the pain looked just like his when he had all those past wars from the centuries he had lived. His heart broke that such a young pretty girl was in that kind of monumental pain.
You were murmuring, “My memories, my parents…g-gone… empty…empty” Then miraculously with blank eyes, you looked to him and smiled:
 “At least I remember you Yao” and you lost consciousness.
His heart threatened to break. You looked like a baby panda that was lost and wanted to find its way home. But what should he do?
“I must help her, aru!”
He gingerly picked you up and cradled you just like he would do to his own panda.
Your head was safely nested between his head and shoulder. The tears from your eyes that were still falling were wiped away by his hand as he took you to his house.
He rushed to his house to help you as soon as possible but all throughout the way there he thought:
‘How did this strange girl know me?’
~~~~~~~~~~~~Timeskip Of China Pressing Your Naked Body Against Him While Embracing You~~~~~~

You were having a nightmare.

You were running from the dark figure. It wanted more of the memories you barely had.

You knew that somehow if it caught you, the emptiness you felt would become reality and you would disappear:

That you would die.

Right as you made a turn into a thicket of trees, Yao stopped you.

You looked at him in surprise.

“Y-Yao!?”

You were shocked into consciousness.

You felt a cool towel placed on your forehead.

You tried to look up but all your eyes caught were vague images and a dark figure.

You shrunk back in fear.

The figure noticed this and in a calming voice said, “It’s okay. You’re safe now. Nothing will harm you any longer. The Baku will protect you”

You didn’t know what to say. You recognized the voice but couldn’t quite place who it was. All you knew was that it was a man not a monster.

You wanted to get up but your body was covered in sweat and unable to move.

You felt a hand gently touch your shoulder and the voice said, “Rest miss. You need it”

You didn’t like being called miss so you faintly whispered, “______”

“What?”

It took all your might to repeat what you said, “My n-name’s _______” Then your eyes closed again.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~Timeskip Of China Kissing You Passionately and Nibbling On Your Lip~~~~~~~~~~
Three days had passed since the last time you woke up. Yao started to get worried. He really started to like you.
All throughout your battle, sickness or whatever you call it, you fought it and whispered, “No” and “Never”
You seemed so strong. He really admired that about you. He wanted you to win. In many ways, you reminded him of himself. So all those days he took care of you and he actually felt something…deep…for you. Perhaps love?
You meanwhile finally drifted out of unconsciousness and for once felt safe.
Your eyes took a moment to adjust to the lighting in the room. It appeared to be sunny outside; most likely it was the morning or afternoon.
You could turn your head and sat up slightly without it hurting as you continued to survey the room. You wanted to know where you were.
The room was filled with the colors of red and yellow. Everywhere you looked you saw traditional Chinese paintings and jade figurines. And if that wasn’t enough of a clue to whose room it was you looked above the bed to see a huge Chinese flag hanging proudly.
You realized whose room this was when the said person came through the doorway with a tray in his hands.
You nearly couldn’t even comprehend to who stood there.
There in the doorway was Yao Wang. Fair skin was given a bit of shine as the light from the window hit him. His dark brown hair wasn’t put into a ponytail as it usually was; his hair framed his face making him look more masculine and tough. You finally looked to his brown eyes and could have been ensnared in them if he didn’t clear his throat and say:
 “Are you feeling alright ______?”
He inched over to you and placed the tray of food down on the nightstand beside the bed.
You were still baffled to what you saw. ‘T-this can’t be happening… he’s a character for God’s sake!’ you mentally stated.
He placed a hand to your forehead and said, “Hmm no more fever”
You looked at his hand and then back to him. You nearly made a squeal. Yao, yes Yao your crush, was touching you. You started blushing from the contact.
“Your turning red again, another fever?” He touched your cheek.
“I-I” Goodness! This seemed almost too much for you! You were starting to think ‘certain’ thoughts, so in order to control yourself, you replied, “I-I’m fine…thank you”
Yao smiled and took his hand away from you. “I am glad to hear that _____”
You looked to him confused. “H-how do you know my n-name?”
Yao was bringing a chair to your bedside when he simply said, “You told me, aru”
“I did?”
He nodded. “And you also said my name too”
You put a hand to your head ashamed. “Oh gosh! I’m so sorry; that must’ve been creepy”
“Yeah and I never even told you my name, aru”
Your lungs almost stopped functioning. ‘Err, how could you be so stupid _____? You probably freaked him out! The only good thing is that you never said he was a country… as long as I avoid that I should be good’
You looked to him and replied, “Um, I think I read about you from somewhere, China”
“What, aru?!”
You sweatdropped and thought, ‘Sh*t! Well I obviously screwed that plan up. Okay _____ think on your feet! He’s suspicious now!’
“I meant that I read about you online….everything from you as a country and your name”   ‘Huh not bad ____ not bad’
China was baffled at this newfound information but he was no idiot. “And where online did you find all this about me?”
“Ehehe- erm- I not totally sure but that’s how I recognized you” You hoped he would stop asking questions now.
“How are you not sure? My identity is leaked and I have to shut the site down!”
You raised your voice in reply, “I don’t know okay! I just remember that! I don’t even know how I got here! The nightmare took my memories…” You looked down and tried to prevent fresh tears from overflowing your eyes.
Yao was superstitious, so he knew all too well about nightmare monsters. Deep inside him, he felt you were telling the truth.
Wanting to lighten the mood, he reached his hand to the tray, took one of two bowls on top of it, and handed it to you.
You looked to him in surprise.
He put the bowl closer to you and you gratefully took it. “Thank you Yao”
“Búkùqì” he responded.
You looked to him with a ‘question mark’ on your face.
He gave a little smile and explained, “It means thank you in Mandarin”
“You mean Chinese?” you said with a smile.
He smiled a little more and replied, “Yes, aru”
You looked back down to the bowl in your hands and took the spoon inside it. You didn’t know what kind of soup it was; you hesitantly took a spoonful of soup and brought it to your mouth.
It tasted divine. It was like all the flavors balanced each other out but each could still be distinctly tasted. He certainly was a great cook like he was described. You wanted to know what kind of soup this was because it definitely tasted better than original chicken soup!
“Yao?”
“Yes, aru?”
“What kind soup is this? It’s so delicious!” You gladly ate another spoonful.
Yao was pleased to see that you loved his cooking. “It’s Egg Drop soup”
“Wow” you ate another spoonful “Is that a traditional dish?”
He nodded.
You asked more questions and he answered them all. He loved how you wanted to know more about him and in return he returned your enthusiasm. Pretty soon dinner was finished, and both of you were still excitedly talking.
You were in mid-sentence of a funny story when a panda crawled onto the bed into your lap. It looked to you with its chubby round face and little black eyes.
You exclaimed, “Aww how adorable~!”
You hugged it close to you.
The panda whined signaling it was uncomfortable.
Not wanting to be rude, you immediately let go of it, only for it to crawl onto China’s lap.
China rubbed its head and smiled. He then said, “My panda needs a little time to get used to being touched by strangers”
You “Hmm’d”
Suddenly China requested, “Would you like to stay with me, aru?”
“Huh?” You were caught off-guard.
Yao just realized how stupid he sounded and he tried to apologize. “Duìbùqǐ- I mean- I’m sorry! That sounded rude and-ah!”
You pulled him by the shoulders and hugged him. You stuffed your face against his neck and said, “Yes I would like that”
Yao blushed at your close proximity. “Y-you’re sure, aru?”
You shook your head for ‘yes’. Then you softly told him, “Thank you, Yao-ie for all that you have done for me, for taking care of me…for everything”
Yao felt his heart skip a beat at your thank you (even though he wasn’t too fond of your nickname). He returned your hug in full. The moment would have last lasted longer if not for an almost incapacitated panda bear.
Upon hearing its whines for air, you both quickly separated.
The panda looked like it gave a sigh of relief before it collapsed in Yao’s lap.
You giggled, “Poor panda” then you looked to Yao. Teasing him you added, “You should wear your hair loose more often; it looks sexy”
Yao gave an ear-to-ear blush before replying, “Don’t say things like that” He picked up the tray with the bowls and the comatose panda. Before he walked away and closed the door, he said, “Goodnight _____”
You replied “Goodnight” and grinned.
You waited until he closed the door before screaming into the blankets. Your inner fangirl was straining to scream while he was with you, but now that he wasn’t, you could scream all you like.
After your screaming session was over, you looked at the ceiling. You had actually spent your day with your endearing crush! This all seemed like a dream but you were so glad that this was reality! You couldn’t believe that your wish came true… and from a mirror no less!
But as you lay there, you remembered that you were slowly forgetting your old life and the people you knew, and more importantly, your parents you left behind in your dimension.
Now all that clouded your mind was “Why am I forgetting them?...”
“…And how do I get back home?”
Haha like a boss! Another Asian country! And it’s China! :D
Whew, this is the most research I have ever done for a story! Oh and a Baku is a sort of “dreamcatcher” for nightmares.
 And seriously this story almost turned into a Sick Reader x China… anyway hope you guys LIKE/LOVE IT! Don’t forget to comment! J
The plot of this story belongs to me but that’s pretty much it! (Note: Though I did use my Photoshop to make China smile and the background of pink sakura trees) The person who owns this picture is なに見てるアルか Old Pixiv ID: 6753845 Member: さわ :)
You belong to you! (But after getting nursed by China, I highly doubt it) xD
Why is china a "male nurse". He would just be a nurse.
